That is the way ou...I love your comparison to stew. That is the way our country was meant to be. Too many people who came from European countries were belittled for their nationalities. So much so that they "Americanized" their last names and they did not talk about their original histories. Because we do not have noticeable differences in our features we are thought to be the same. We are not as tolerant of differences as we should be but at least we allow others to celebrate their roots. I wish I knew more about my family in the way that you know about yours.
